The premier mare of our ranch has earned her status! Annie is now 9 years old, and just keeps making us proud! Beauty, brains and versatility set this mare apart. She has been there and done that. A willing partner, she loves to follow the hounds, has wrangled cattle, has taken us safely on many trail rides, and in 2009 completed her first-ever NATRC Competitive Trail Ride earning 5th place Novice Horse Lightweight Division. She traveled 22 miles and was ready to go another 22! We are now members of ACTHA, and learning to cope with various obstacles on our trail rides. Annie knows when there is a child or novice adult on board and takes care of them. And she will give a very exciting but controlled ride to an experienced rider. Doña is a one-in-a-million mare. Dark chestnut daughter of RDLF Don Alberto and granddaughter of HNS Aureo, her bloodlines are impeccable. Now 16 years old, she is sound and has strong, clean legs. This mare has been shown, and in 2006 foaled MJMC Insondable. She was great a mother! Her RSV Inolvidable+ son is now four years old under saddle, and for sale(see below). Doña completed her second Catalina Classic trail ride in January 2009, with Brigitte Dubin riding, who then negotiated with me to lease her. Brigitte and Doña live now in Brockway, Montana. Brigitte tells us she loves this mare and together, they spend many pleasurable riding hours. Brigitte is still trying to decide if she will breed Doña. We are pleased to offer for sale the bay gelding, MJMC Insondable. His sire is the beautiful Laureado stallion, RSV Inolvidable+. His dam is a granddaughter of the lovely palomino stallion, HNS Aureo. Growing up in a nearly perfect environment with his dam, two other foals and their dams, he learned how to behave in a herd environment and was handled extensively. He leads, ponies, bathes, and stands for the farrier. He is barefoot and should remain so. He is a people-loving and willing partner who will greet you at the gate. He stands quietly for mounting, and possesses a wonderful smooth gait. A sweetheart, he answers to his call name, "Sonny". He was trained by Nevin McQuarrie, and is finished in the bit. He completed the Catalina Mountain ride in 2010; and also attended and participated in events at Groom Creek and Strawberry, AZ. Sonny continues to widen his horizons, and has some additional trail miles this year. He is maturing into a very striking adult. Sonny just turned 5 years old. He is up to date on all vaccinations including rabies, is wormed regularly, and just had his annual dental work completed. "Marty" is a beautiful dark gold palomino with white mane and tail. First registered as SVS La Noche de Martes because he was born on a Tuesday night, his nickname "Marty", stuck, but in honor of his sire, his name was changed!. Finishing his show career as 2004 Desert Show Horse Association Champion Peruvian Performance Gelding in very stiff competition, he turned heads everywhere he went. "Marty" was trained by Nevin McQuarrie of Cottonwood Crossing Farms Peruvian Horses. None of his training was ever rushed, and he stayed with Nevin about a year. He is beautifully gaited, smooth as silk, with excellent timing and transition. Going 15 hands, this horse has size, beauty, and a willing attitude. His show career had just begun, and he continued to be highly competitive in the most challenging show venues. He was sold in 2005 to Greg Brandow of California, and now spends his summers turning heads on the trail in Idaho with his new owner. "Excepcional" holds great promise. A wonderful combination of bloodlines enhanced by excellent phenotype, make this charming chestnut mare very desirable. Nicknamed Angel because of her sweet and willing attitude, she was fully imprinted by Jenice McQuarrie, and became a real joy to handle. She appreciated attention but was never pushy. Started under saddle by Nevin McQuarrie, he appreciated her great mind and glass-smooth gait.
